How does the Dollar Club work? We ask each person, young and old, to give an extra dollar every Sunday they come to Generations. This is in addition to their normal giving. Then we simply count heads in all our ministries and give the total in dollars to a local, national, or international need.
We encourage every person who attends Generations to be a part of the Dollar Club. If we do not receive everyone’s dollar on the Sundays they attend, we don’t cheat on the amount we give to the ministries who need it. This can sometimes stress our normal budget, so we greatly value everyone’s generosity!
Why is the Dollar Club such a big deal? Since the Dollar Club began in July of last year, our dollar bills have amounted to about $15,000 given to local, national and international needs and organizations. Nearly $5,000 have already been given this year, and it is likely that we will exceed $30,000 by the end of 2012. It’s amazing what our dollars can do!
So whom have we helped? Here’s an updated list!
