Celebrate Recovery

A place to find healing from my hurts, habits, and hangups

What is Celebrate Recovery?

Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups, and habits.  It is based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory.

25 years ago, Saddleback Church launched Celebrate Recovery with 43 people. It was designed as a program to help those struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process. Celebrate Recovery has helped more than 17000 people at Saddleback, attracting over 70% of its members from outside the church. Eighty-five percent of the people who go through the program stay with the church and nearly half serve as church volunteers.

Generations Church Celebrate Recovery meets every Friday night. It is our intention to make CR at GC the safest place in Brunswick County, a fun and inviting place where freedom and support are found, but where serious life change is possible.

As a newcomer, here is what you can expect:

  • The evening is kicked off with free dinner, opening at 6:15pm
  • Dinner is followed by live music and Celebrate Recovery teaching or testimony of life change at 7
  • Open share small groups at 8 (attendance is optional, but encouraged!)
  • Dessert/coffee at 9

Associated Costs

The Friday night CR environment is completely free, including the meal, though we ask for your generosity in the form of donations so that we can continue to sustain the ministry.

If you choose to join a Celebrate Recovery Step Study Small Group, the program uses a set of 4 participant's guides. The cost for the set of 4 books is $20.  You can pay all at once or in $5 installments. As always, we never want the cost of a guide to keep someone from attending a group, so we can work with you.

If you are looking to join a step study small group at Generations Church, please contact us.

Free Childcare

Childcare is provided for those attending Celebrate Recovery.
