- Do you believe in the devil? What is the devil’s primary weapon of destruction?
- Read John 8:31-41. How does knowing the truth make us free? From what are we free?
- Have you ever thought of yourself as a slave to sin? Why did the religious leaders have such a hard time with this comment from Jesus?
- Read John 8:42-59. Is it possible to be used by satan and not even know it? Have you ever been guilty of that?
- Jesus seemed to teach that the world was divided into 2 camps: children of satan and children of God. Do you agree with that? Why or why not?
- How do you protect yourself from being deceived?
- Read John 8:31-32. What does it mean for you to “hold to the teachings” of Jesus?
- Does that characterize your life?
- What could your life look like if you faithfully practiced holding to Christ’s teachings?
