TEXT: John 8:12-20, Ephesians 2:1-2
- Look up the word “arrogant” in the dictionary. Without naming names, describe the most arrogant person you have ever met.
- What behaviors made him/her so arrogant?
- Do you ever find yourself displaying those same behaviors?
- Read John 8:12-20. Was Jesus being arrogant or something else? What did the Pharisees think about his statement?
- In John 8:14-18, Jesus stated the 2 reasons that his testimony was valid. What were his reasons and do you buy them?
- Pastor Troy mentioned 2 characteristics/behaviors of a follower of Christ. Can you think of any others?
- If someone were to put you on trial for being a follower of Christ is there enough evidence to convict you? If so, what is the evidence?
