The Essence of Christianity 05 Aug 18

(Message 1) What is the essence of Christianity? Is it all about keeping the rules and having a strong faith? It may surprise you that Jesus doesn’t expect you to be perfect. Being a “sinner” doesn’t mean that you can’t follow Him. And even if you have doubts, you’re not disqualified. In fact, following always begins with a sinner and often with an unbeliever. #gcfollow

If you are willing to _______________, you can follow Me.

The message of the Pharisees:  Change and you can join us!

The message of Jesus:  Join us and you will change!

Following Jesus:

  • Being a sinner doesn’t disqualify you, it’s a prerequisite.
  • Being an unbeliever doesn’t disqualify you, none of Jesus’ earliest followers believed.
