Missions & Outreach

We're on a mission, across the street and around the world.

There's a great big world out there that we care about! Along with youth and adult mission trips, we partner with local, national, and international ministries with funding from the Dollar Club to extend our outreach. If you have questions, contact our Missions Director for info.

The Dollar Club

Supporting ministry here, there, and everywhere. The Dollar Club is designed to be an active and flexible tool to meet physical and spiritual needs in our community and world on a weekly basis. If there is an international humanitarian catastrophe, a local ministry organization in need, or a community crisis calling for all hands on deck, chances are good that the Dollar Club is involved.

How does it work?

We ask everyone present each Sunday at church and online, young or old, to remember to give an extra dollar above and beyond their normal giving to fund the Dollar Club. To make the most of our impact, we seek to give to missional organizations that meet not only physical or emotional needs but also meet spiritual needs. In this way, we can all partner together to transform individuals, families, and whole generations with a simple dollar.

Local Area Outreach

We encourage youth and adults to engage in mentoring, local area projects, and assisting other local ministries. We especially encourage small groups to plan to be involved in an outreach project like SERVE Day or simply serve people in need in their neighborhood. If you are interested in getting involved and want more information about opportunities, click the button below.

Local Opportunities:

"Operation Christmas Child delivers great joy and the Good News of Jesus Christ to children in need around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes. Each box packed full of quality toys, school supplies, and personal care items becomes a tangible expression of God's immense love for the child. For many, it is their first gift ever! ... Shoebox gifts provide an opportunity to present the Gospel to boys and girls in a clear, child-friendly way." (samaritanspurse.org)

Another way we reach out is through our Benevolence Fund. This fund allows us to care for those in need and is directed in two ways: 1) internally, eligible attenders who are regularly involved in Generations; 2) externally, agencies and ministries in our community, and occasionally beyond our community.

If you or someone you know who is regularly involved in Generations is in need of support, there is a Benevolence Request Form* available for pick upin our church office. Office hours are Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm. Those eligible for assistance must also be willing to receive financial, family, or emotional counseling.

A Resource Card with a list of agencies and food banks in our area is also available to anyone. This card can be found in our main office.

*Filling out a Benevolence Request Form does not guarantee financial assistance.

Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministry (W.A.R.M.) is a local area outreach opportunity that specializes in helping with home accessibility, cleanup, and repairs - especially after hurricanes and tornados. If you're interested in serving with W.A.R.M., contact us.

International Mission Trips

What do Haiti, Guatemala, India, Uganda, the Philippines (and others) have in common? Individuals or teams from Generations have gone on short-term missions to serve in those countries and share the Gospel. Let us know if you are interested in hearing about future mission trip opportunities by selecting the button below.

International Partners

Each Sunday morning you support Lifesong for Orphans, an international ministry, simply by drinking coffee. We buy Gobena coffee because they send 100% of their profits to Lifesong. The more you drink, the more we give.

We also contribute to ministries like International Justice Mission through the Dollar Club as we seek to help eradicate sex trafficking. This has become a passion of ours, so we do what we can to fight this injustice for women and children.

Nathan & Mandy

Nathan and Mandy are headed to Africa to devote their lives to reaching an unreached people group with the Gospel. We encourage you to setup ongoing support and pray for their success! Reach out to our Missions Director if you need help completing the support form.
